This is a grand title for what Otto Scharmer would term 'landing strips' for the future. These are little experimental action research on topics of interest to me.

  • Youth development

What motivates, inspires, occupies the minds of youths? Are ASBOS a necessity or are we over-reacting? What is the reality for the marginalised and the criminalised members of our society? If we can help to find inspiration and speak to the 'light' within youths, what impact will that have over time?

'Projects'

  • Leadership development for Fo Guang Shan, Toronto
  • Mentoring at Depaul Trust
  • 'Presencing for Leading Profound Change'

We are moved and excited by the work at the Presencing Institute. We feel it is an important development given the state of our organisations, societies and the world at large.

We are looking to connect with people who are interested in coming together to form a 'practice group' to further the Presencing work developed by Otto Scharmer and the Presencing Institute. Please contact us.

For Embodied Presence Practice work, see Embodied Presence Practice Blog.

  • Ageing

Currently starting a series of 'exploratory probes' to give voice to the elderly. I am interested in ageing and its effects on making people become 'invisible'. I happen to sense that those currently in their 70s and 80s are from generations where customs, values and experiences will be lost for good. The plan is to work in collaboration with Wendy Pye to work with the elderly and through their narrative and portraits to find emergent themes.

  • Wellness and happiness

Interest from individual and organisational perspectives. Stress and addiction- can't live with them and can't live without them? When will we start to enjoy the abundance of life? Or is this nothing but a pipe dream- since we are all expected to work until we drop. Will these become critical for organisations? What links do we have between happiness, wellness and performance? Perhaps a potential research piece for my studies in psychotherapy?
